[ Date: 2018.07.29 ]
[ Co-Chairs: mod6 [R.01] && ben_vulpes [R.02] ]
0x00]: Introduction
It is with great honor and privilege that The Bitcoin Foundation embraces
this opportunity to address the public on the state of current progress,
obstacles and continuing steps in our mission.
0x01]: Accomplishments
0x010: mod6's personal node has been fully re-sync'd [R.03] and was re-added
to the list of Advertised Republican Nodes [R.04].
0x011: mod6 placed asciilifeform's [R.05] ``Aggressive PushGetBlocks'' [R.06]
vpatch into the main TRB vtree. It is considered to be a bug-fix
[R.07]. It is ``ground'' on top of the current makefiles.vpatch, and a
full press of the TRB vtree now goes up through
``asciilifeform_aggressive_pushgetblocks.vpatch''. An announcement
email [R.08] was sent out to the btc-dev email list [R.09] with
details. The TRB HOWTO Guide [R.0A] and Vpatch Directional Graph
[R.0B] were updated to reflect the addition of
``asciilifeform_aggressive_pushgetblocks.vpatch'' to the TRB vtree.
0x02]: Complications and Obstacles
0x020: In the very beginning of the month, ben_vulpes announced that he will
be stepping back from his managerial responsibilities at Pizarro
[R.0C]. mod6 will be interim manager [R.0D] until after the first
week of September when BingoBoingo [R.0E] will take over the role
[R.0F].
0x03]: Continuing Steps
0x030: The Raw Transactions project is still on-going and will continue as
time permits.
0x031: There are two vpatches that are also in immediate consideration for
emplacement into the main TRB vtree: ben_vulpes submitted a vpatch
[R.10] to remove hash truncation from TRB logs; mod6 has been running
with this patch for some time, and works as intended. mod6 submitted
a vpatch [R.11] to fix the phexdigit array bug that was discovered.
Work to get both of these into the TRB vtree will go forward as time
permits.
0x04]: Expenditures
0x040: 0.02101750 BTC for colocation services at Pizarro [June] [R.12].
0x041: 0.02083823 BTC for colocation services at Pizarro [July] [R.13].
0x05]: Conclusion
The Bitcoin Foundation would like to bestow our sincerest thanks and
gratitude to the contributors and community for its support and insight.
